Our Meal Plans for the Week Ahead
Last week, I had a real healthy eating focus on our meals. It worked, and we definitely at more fish and vegetables than we had been. We also had more varied meals, and I do feel more in control of my eating at the moment – apart from the odd chocolate bar!
It feels like week 33 of the school holidays to be honest. Tim is away a lot of the week ahead, and I’m not looking forward to it. I might write a separate post on this, but I find the school holidays really hard. I found the Summer holidays long and lonely even before I had children (I’m a teacher), and now I find them really hard work. Tim had a week off earlier in the holidays, so it’s pretty much been down to me to fill five weeks and I’m flagging.
That said, Ben’s been having swimming lessons every morning last week, so I’ve been taking Samuel swimming at the same time, and it’s been brilliant. I really wanted Ben to crack swimming without armbands this Summer, and he has absolutely done it. We had several long afternoons at home last week with a bit too much TV, so this week I’m planning on a few more trips out and about too.
Saturday: Chicken Wraps (Ben’s favourite)
Monday: Leftover lasagne
Tuesday: Sticky chicken with coleslaw (Hairy Dieters Recipe)
Wednesday: Goan fish curry (I found the curry paste reduced in Tesco this week)
Thursday: Prawn noodle soup
