I am SO late with this week’s meal plan! We’re still away, and you know when you’re on holiday and you lose track of the days of the week? Well, that happened. So I’m planning and posting on Sunday instead of Friday. If you’ve been looking for the meal plans, I’m so sorry!
Our Meal Plans for the Week Ahead
We’ve got another holiday week ahead. This weekend, Tim and I are off for a rare (literally, we haven’t done this since I was pregnant with Samuel, and he’s nearly 3) weekend without children. They are staying with my parents, and then I’m going to join them on Monday for a few days.
As my parents have been looking after them for a couple of days, I think I should at least offer to cook for one or two nights. By Thursday, we’ll all be back home together, and on Friday, it’s my birthday, so we’ll have my choice!
Sunday: Sunday lunch at a pub near where we’re staying
Monday: I’ll be having dinner with my parents
Tuesday: I’ll offer to cook – but my mum will have chosen the meal
Wednesday: I’ll offer to cook again
Thursday: Muttar paneer and rice – we’ve had hardly any spicy food over the last few weeks, and it’s all been fairly meat-heavy, so this will be a nice change. We ate Muttar paneer a lot when we travelled in India seven years ago.
Friday: Steak, chips and salad for my birthday, followed by strawberries and cream.
