The Meal Planning Linky – Week 25 – 22nd June

Welcome to Week 25 of The Meal Planning Linky. This is a linky hosted by Naomi at The Organised Life Project and Katy at KatykickerAnyone is welcome to join – just check out the rules below.

I know we all need a bit of inspiration and motivation when it comes to meal planning. That’s why we’ve launched The Meal Planning Linky. We’ll share our posts about meal planning, and you can link yours up too. Seeing others’ meal plans – and sharing our own – not only keeps us accountable but also will inspire us.

My family and I have really been enjoying our World Cup inspired meals this last week. The Swiss Macaroni was excellent (although, basically a baked carbonara). Senegalese Jollof was not so much of a hit, and open sandwiches made for a really easy dinner.

We’re continuing with the meal plans this week, but I’ve also got a few things that I need to use up.

Our Meal Plans for the Week Ahead

Saturday: South Korea vs Mexico – We never got to have the Bibimbap recipe last week, so we’ll be having that.

Sunday: England vs Panama – We’ll be watching the match after church and then going to a barbecue, so I’ll take Eton Mess for dessert.

Monday: Uruguay vs Russia – We’ll have something simple, like beans on toast, followed by Uruguayan Fried Cakes.

Tuesday: Argentina vs. Nigeria – We’ll try Faina with Chorizo and Blue Cheese – my colleagues tell me that Argentina aren’t doing too well.

Wednesday: Mexico vs. Sweden – Our favourite family food is either Fajitas or Enchiladas, so I’ll stick with enchiladas today.

Thursday: Japan vs. Poland – I’ll get some sushi for the boys to try, and we’ll have Ramen Noodle Soup.

Friday: It’s a rest day! After all that international food, I think we’ll be craving something more… British, so we’ll have sausages and mash.
