The Meal Planning Linky – Week 9 – 2nd March

Welcome to Week 9 of The Meal Planning Linky. This is a linky hosted by Naomi at The Organised Life Project and Katy at KatykickerAnyone is welcome to join – just check out the rules below.

I know we all need a bit of inspiration and motivation when it comes to meal planning. That’s why we’ve launched The Meal Planning Linky. We’ll share our posts about meal planning, and you can link yours up too. Seeing others’ meal plans – and sharing our own – not only keeps us accountable but also will inspire us.

Our Meal Plans for the Week Ahead

I’ve had to adjust our meal plans in light of this absolutely freezing weather. A salad – even a warm salad – isn’t going to cut it at the moment! I’m also adjusting my meals so that I can eat them on The Daniel Plan, which cuts out dairy, wheat and sugar.

I did my shopping in Asda on Monday afternoon and took advantage of their 3 for £10 offer, so we’ve been making the most of that this week.

Saturday: Chicken in honey and mustard sauce with roasted vegetables

Sunday: Beef Stifado

Monday: Cod and chorizo stew

Tuesday: Vegetable curry

Wednesday: Sweet chilli prawn stir fry

Thursday: Roast chicken

Friday: Fish and chips

I feel like we’re having a lot of meat-based meals at the moment; I’d be really keen to hear your best veggie recipes for colder weather. If they don’t use a lot of cheese, that’s even better!

  • We’re having a vegetable curry, roast chicken and a stir fry too this week. I’ve got to go to the supermarket instead of ordering online as all the slots were taken. It will be interesting to see if it makes a difference to our costs. The weather is warming up for us this week, I hope it warms up where you are too.
