I know we all need a bit of inspiration and motivation when it comes to meal planning. That’s why we’ve launched The Meal Planning Linky. We’ll share our posts about meal planning, and you can link yours up too. Seeing others’ meal plans – and sharing our own – not only keeps us accountable but also will inspire us.

Our Meal Plans for the Week Ahead

 

We did really well with our meal plans last week – the Hake with bacon, peas and cider was a real hit, as was the dahl with flatbreads. Both boys absolutely loved the vegetable curry, and Tim even did homemade onion bajees. Their plates were cleared and seconds eaten.

Things went slightly out of kilter on Thursday with an unexpected visit from the boys’ grandparents, who brought fish and chips with them, so we’ve shuffled things around. I’m also back at work this week after the Easter holidays so it’s quick meals for Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

I’m finding more and more people are starting to meal plan monthly. I noticed a friend had hers pinned up in her kitchen when we visited this week, and my sister has done hers as well. I definitely prefer doing it all in one go once a month – you can find out how I meal plan monthly too.

Saturday: Harissa Spiced Chicken, cous cous and salad

Sunday: Roast Pork

Monday: Leftover Pork, Rigatoni and Tomato Bake

Tuesday: Frittata

Wednesday: Lamb steaks, new potatoes, salsa verde and vegetables

Thursday: Kedgeree with smoked haddock

Friday: Fishcakes
