The Meal Planning Linky – Week 12 – 23rd March

Welcome to Week 12 of The Meal Planning Linky. This is a linky hosted by Naomi at The Organised Life Project and Katy at KatykickerAnyone is welcome to join – just check out the rules below.

I know we all need a bit of inspiration and motivation when it comes to meal planning. That’s why we’ve launched The Meal Planning Linky. We’ll share our posts about meal planning, and you can link yours up too. Seeing others’ meal plans – and sharing our own – not only keeps us accountable but also will inspire us.

Our Meal Plans for the Week Ahead

Our Easter Holidays start this week. I have to say – even though it’s been a very short term – we are more than ready for it. I’ve not been too well over the last week, and I’m sure it’s the usual end-of-term-itis (that is a medical term).

I do love the Easter Holidays. It feels like we really get a decent break. I’ve got lots of ideas (hopefully it won’t rain everyday) and Tim has the week off too – which is brilliant. We’re not completely sure about our plans for the Easter weekend – we’re either going to be visiting my parents, or they will come to us of the building work in their house hasn’t finished. So I’ve left Friday TBC for the moment!

We’ve got a few days out planned, and lots of child-friendly meals as well.

Saturday: Sausages and Mash

Sunday: Chicken Korma

Monday: Prawn stir-fry

Tuesday: Spaghetti Bolognese

Wednesday: Jacket potatoes with various fillings

Thursday: Pizza

Friday: TBC

  • Hi Naomi, what a great idea, I love this linky and am really looking forward to seeing some yummy meal ideas. I’m veggie and usually plan our emails every Sunday but find they can get a bit samey so definitely need some new inspiration. Also really looking forward to the Easter holidays but my son doesn’t break up until next Thursday… I also really look forward to the extra couple of days off work.

    • I’ll have to follow your blog – I’m always looking for more vegetarian recipes. Thanks for joining in x

  • What a delicious meal plan! I especially like the Korma, Spag Bol, and jacket potatoes – all 3 are a winner in our house too. The holidays are indeed looming so I’ll have to make sure we’ve plenty of low cost and filling feasts – particularly for our two hollow legged teens.

    • We don’t have korma enough really – we all really like it. My two eat a lot any they are only small – I can’t imagine what they will be like when they are teenagers!

  • I’ve started meal planning recently thanks to you and Katykicker. Can’t believe the difference it’s made. Makes life so much easier now I’m doing slimming world!

    • Oh wonderful! There are loads of Slimming World bloggers out there too for inspiration. Thanks so much for joining us.

  • Oh, I wish you well as you recover from that end of term-itis that we are so familiar with. Your meal plan for the easter sounds good too and we also have plans for lots of filling, kid-friendly food. Thanks for sharing again.
