We are both absolutely passionate about meal planning.

I know we all need a bit of inspiration and motivation when it comes to meal planning. That’s why we’ve launched The Meal Planning Linky. We’ll share our posts about meal planning, and you can link yours up too. Seeing others’ meal plans – and sharing our own – not only keeps us accountable but also will inspire us.

Our Meal Plans for the Week Ahead

Saturday: Prawn and chorizo paella

Sunday: Chilli with nachos

Monday: French onion soup – this was going to be with leftover Christmas cheese but we FINALLY used up all the extra cheese last week!

Tuesday: Baked fish, Asian-style vegetables with ginger and soy and rice

Wednesday: Butternut squash and bacon risotto

Thursday: I think I might do haggis with neeps and tatties as it’s Burns night, or if not, just sausages.

Friday: Sweet orange chicken with broccoli – This is a new recipe for us.

  • Oh the sweet orange chicken looks really good! I have meal planned on and off my whole adult life, but don’t think I’ve ever stuck to it 100%! Even this week I’ve gone off and made something else with similar ingredients. It certainly keeps costs down though and I don’t often buy ‘top up’ items if I have a set plan. Thanks for hosting x

    • I’ll let you know how it is – it’s a new recipe for us. I totally believe in meal planning, not just for keeping the costs down but for variety and saving me so much stress. Thanks for joining in x

  • Love the sound of the Risotto and Orange Chicken, I’ve been thinking about trying a similar recipe for us on a weekend evening and having our own ‘Fakeaway’ night when we’ve got time for everyone to help out with the cooking.
